Last Day in Boston

April 23, 2013

Hi Everyone,

I made it back from a whirlwind trip filled with classes and ordering.  Of course, I am completely exhausted.  My class samples and catalogs will be at the store Wednesday for you to check out.  The new classes I have in mind will be great!

Wacky Wednesday Cards
We have a pretty card filled with die cuts from Impression Obsession and Lisa Halstead make a card with some of my favorite colors.  Just $2 each Available all day Wednesday and Thursday.

We got some fun New York papers.

Last Day in Boston
Class started at 8:00 with Tim Holtz so I was a bit of a zombie all day.   Darn that Flat Lisa is always wide awake and ready to go.

Mario didn't know quite what to make of Flat Lisa.

They always have great samples with them.

Here is Tim in full teacher mode.

I'm sorry to say that I actually did not have any time in Dyan's class to take a photo.  We moved at a very fast pace and still did not finish everything she wanted to teach us.

Luckily, I found some other photos to inspire you.  Here is a bit from Graphic 45.
We will be getting a box filled with these great charms next week from Farmhouse.
I couldn't resist ordering more goodies from Impression Obsession.
These mini flower dies are just too fun to pass up.

We still have a couple of spots left in this great class this weekend.

Day 3 from Boston. Ordering Frenzy

April 23, 2013

Hi Everyone,

Here is Flat Lisa with one of the owners of WOW! embossing powders. I told him how Flat Lisa loves her photo taken with men.  I may have placed a rather large order with them.  There will be fun demos and classes to come.

Flat Lisa may have twisted my arm a little I may have added some more goodies to my already pending Bo Bunny order.

Flat Lisa will be so excited that I ordered all these Maryland items for the store.

For those of you who have students at other universities, I can get kits for the schools in the photo
below. Please call the store to order a kit.

Kit contains:
six 12" x 12" sheets of paper
twelve logo stickers (2" x 1")
ten 12" border stickers
Ideal for scrapbooking, albums, cards, tags, labels, letters, journals, crafts and more.  $13   Here is a sample of the kits.
Acid free and lignin free$13

Oh, did I mention that I got to see and more importantly ORDER Two new Graphic 45 lines!  I can't show you yet but they are sure to please.

I will be teaching this adorable recipe book album from Farmhouse in June.

Dyan Reaveley was enjoying her time with Flat Lisa.

In fact, she thought Flat Lisa would be a nice addition to the Ranger displays.

Flat Lisa talked me into walking across a very dangerous road to get Mexican food for dinner.  It was worth the walk.

Tonight's project was very cool and messy.  The cover started off with a heavy layer of crackle paint.

Flat Lisa was very excited to play in class tonight.

I got a little messy in tonights class.  Played with Tattered Angels sprayed on Canvas and flowers.

Demo Day Rewind and Day 2 from Boston

Hi Everyone,

Flat Lisa decked out in the latest Bo Bunny.

Flat Lisa visited with one of her favorite vendors Gerri from Bo Bunny.
Flat

Flat Lisa made a new friend at lunch.

I loved the new Sand paste from Viva Decor.  All ready to add to your beach pages, summer cards or shadow box.

I have been playing a lot with all great dimensional pastes from Viva Decor.

Who knew you could use the pearl pens on pants.

Flat Lisa made a new friend.  Jamie from Crafters Workshop.

You may recognize this girl.  First, I used the pearl modeling cream on the photos.  Once dry, I used some sprays as paint over my black and white photos. (This did not work on glossy photos).

Flat Lisa was all ready for notes at the retailer meeting.

My favorite Make and Take tonight was a ring made from WOW embossing powder.  Marion and her husband are from England and are so funny.  I can't wait for you to play with these fun powders.

We have a new Layout of the Week and we are dreaming of summer.

Hello from Tracy and Flat Lisa from Boston

April 19, 2013
Hi Everyone,

I will miss seeing everyone at Demo Day Saturday.  I am at the Collins Group Show just outside of Boston.  We are all safe here about 20 miles from all the horror.   I am here to take a bunch of great classes from Jen Starr, Dyan Reaveley and Tim Holtz.   Be sure to scroll down to see Flat Lisa's adventures as well as what new goodies we got in store this week.

We are trying something new for Demo Day to try to make it easier for you to order some of the items from the demos that we may run out of.  If you are interested in special ordering something from one of our Demos tomorrow, each demonstrator has a form with all the items they used on it.  All you need to do is give them your name and phone number and they will mark what items you want to order.

This morning we got a quick preview of what is to come along with some show goodies.  Flat Lisa has been behaving herself, so far...

She couldn't wait to get her photo with the owner of Viva Decor who was dressed as a Mayan Princess for the introduction of their new product Maya Gold.

Flat Lisa is playing Vanna White and showing some of the goodies we received here at the show.

Here is Flat Lisa catching up with Jen Starr during our Viva Decor class.  Did you know you can mix the 3D stamping paint with water in a sprayer and use as a mix!  Talk about great glittery color!

I was tempted to give Flat Lisa a new glitter colored outfit since the 3D Stamping paint is opaque.

Flat Lisa couldn't wait to come back to Acapulco Mexican restaurant here in MA.

Flat Lisa thought it was time for a nap.  She grabbed a new Saggy Baggy from Canvas Corp to use as her personal sleeping bag.
I decided to leave her napping when I took my WOW Embossing powder class.  She is afraid of the heat guns.
I see a class coming soon with this mini album.  So many fun techniques with these embossing powders.
I can't wait to show you the Melt-It powder and what you can do with that.
My custom blend embossing powder.  So easy.

We finished off our evening taking a class from Els from Elizabeth Crafts.   Her card samples are fabulous.

Here is Flat Lisa with Tawni, our sales rep.
Here we are with Els.

Wednesday May 8th 11-1 PMStampendous Spring Cards with Tracy

Join Tracy for 4 great cards filled with flowers, glitter and more. We will be coloring with Copics and new Inktense Watercolor Pencils that Jennifer McGuire has been raving about.
