Hi Everyon,
We had so much fun with Flat Lisa in Boston that she now has become the store mascot. I know that even though we have a lot of fun with Flat Lisa, she isn't for everyone. We decided to give her her own blog since she likes to travel and have adventures. I'll mention new blog posts here on our other blogs and in out emails.
Here are the first adventures of Flat Lisa in the order in which they happened.
Hello Everyone,
While we are still sad about not having Lisa with us, we are managing to have a good time. We started our day very early (for me) at 8 with a meet and greet with vendors mixed with some give aways of new products. We may have gotten a few goodies for the store. My first (& second) class was with Creative Imaginations Cheryl Mezzetti. Click here for her CI Gallery. Let's just say that it was VERY fast paced and I didn't finish the book, but it is beautiful! Wood paper makes a great thatched roof for a tiki hut. I also made this adorabe Birthday hat album with the new Creative Imaginations birthday papers (we got them about 2 weeks ago).
Here we are with Cheryl. Cheryl remembered Lisa from Texas but thought Lisa was a lot quieter this trip.
I had to stop Lisa from trying to take one of Cheryl's sample albums. Don't worry I took photos!
Lisa went with Tina to Bo Bunny to make a Roughin' It Album complete with pop up tent.
Here she is with Jerri from Bo Bunny. The Bo Bunny girls sang a song for us this morning. They are so much fun!
Here are a bunch of samples we made today. Flat Lisa was pouting and trying to drown her sorrows in Stickles.
Tomorrow, we have classes with Tim Holtz and Jennifer McGuire! We are very excited (Lisa is pouting in the corner.)
Day 2 from Boston
Hi Everyone,
We are exhausted here. No time for sleeping when there are projects to be made. Only 5 classes today and a 3 hour Sample Making Frenzy. The details of what we did today are a little fuzzy since I'm so tired. I'll just post some fun photos of today's escapades. That Lisa sure turns heads.
My Little Yellow Bicycle class was 3 mini album classes in 1. I got some of the soon to be released Free Spirit line. Talk about adorable. Think Flowers and peace signs. Click here to check the line out. We are getting the entire collection in two to three weeks.
Look at Lisa's happy face. I think she was hoping I would let her have all the class kits.
Tina made Lisa a Smooch Spritz Alley to hang out in.
Lisa wanted to try to cover up some of the graffiti herself and got paint all over her leg. Lisa.....
Tina introduced Lisa to Tim Holtz.
Lisa tried on a new Tim Holtz necklace.
Lisa wanted to make Tim's demo but almost stapled her arm to the tag. Lisa....
Lisa made friends with Todd, one of the big bosses at Hero Arts. She can be such a flirt.
Jennifer McGuire thought Lisa looked a little hungry.
Here is Jennfer helping Lisa try on her new necklace.
Finally, Lisa was seen dress shopping at the Prima booth. She really likes flowers.
Day 3 from Boston
Hi Everyone,
We were super busy today. The alarm went off way too early for me but we had to get up and get to a We R Memory Keepers class to play with the Cinch. Boy is it nice! We will be getting them soon and of course, I'll have one for us to play with at the store.
Lisa loved our little project using the brand new 72 and Sunny.
Lisa had to have her photo with the new Queen and Co summer board. I LOVED these papers. Of course, we already had this all on order.
We started our ordering with Hero Arts. Here is Carol who has given us many tips and got us a great new Demo Board.
Lisa helped Jennifer McGuire scan in our Hero Order.
Here are the three of us hanging out.
Chris from Creative Imaginations really liked real Lisa when he met her at our store last week.
Unfortunately, he liked Flat Lisa a little too much. Sorry about that Lisa!
Here is one our sales rep Sandy's co workers, Chris. Our sales rep told her that we are so much fun. I guess our reputation is getting around.
Here is Tina getting her Tim Holtz creation autographed. He also autographed a copy of his new book for the store.
Lisa got to visit with her friends Joey and George from Bazzill. They missed the real Lisa.
Jerri and from Bo Bunny were great fun as usual.
My purse got dumped over on the hotel floor and Lisa fell out of my bag.
Lisa tried to get away from us today. Luckily, Barbie ran out of gas.
Lisa was very thirsty at dinner.
Lisa was so excited to see nachos and guacamole. I hope she doesn't snore tonight.
Huge all day class with Tim Holtz and Jennifer McGuire tomorrow.
Day 4 from Boston
Monday was a very LONG day. We got up very early so we could be early for our Tim Holtz & Jennifer McGuire class. Of course, the class was amazing. I have to get my sample boards together to display. In the meantime, Hero Arts was nice enough to give us one of their wonderful handmade sample board with their new Spring release.
I lifted this from Jennifer McGuire's blog. "Todd Mullins, the VP over at Hero Arts, did a video of the weekend. In it, he gives a GREAT peek into the class I did with Tim - you will get a kick out of it. It is towards the middle, so keep watching. :)"
Just click the link below to watch. At 2:36, you can see Tina walking in the door.

We grabbed some photos before the classes started with Jennifer. She is a sweetheart with a great sense of humor. She would so fit in at our store.
Jennifer brought a friend for Lisa.
Here is Tina with Mario, Tim Holtz's assistant who does all of the prep for classes. I follow him on twitter. Mario and Jennifer were tweeting the whole week end and he even posted a photo of a class that Tina was taking.
Lisa was very excited about all the new Hero Arts stamps we got for the store.
After the six hour class, we drove home in the pouring rain. Too bad Lisa couldn't drive for us since we were exhausted.
